PRIVATE YOGA LESSONS

You can start by filling out the New Client Form to tell me a little more about yourself and what you hope to get from private yoga lessons.

Afterward, I’ll be in contact shortly to schedule your free consultation to answer your questions and further discuss your goals, needs & availability.

From there, we’ll determine if working together is right for you. Then decide where & when you’d like to meet – in your home, office or virtually online at a time that fits your schedule best.

Private one-on-one lessons in Orlando are 60 minutes. 

Online private lessons are offered in either 30 minutes or 60 minutes sessions.

All lessons are usually at a standing time and occur 1-3x per week.  Please allow an additional 5-10 minutes for all sessions to give yourself a little cushion before and after.

If you would like a different length of time, please get in touch.

I primarily travel to locations in Citrus County, FL, but willing to travel outside of the area.

If you are outside of Citrus County, FL, including out of the state, and would still like to work together, please contact me.

I work with those who are interested in working with a private instructor on a weekly, ongoing basis. This allows a better experience in integrating the changes that you are seeking. If you’re only going to be in town temporarily, ask about mixing In-Person and Online Private Lesson packages. I apologize, but I do not offer single sessions at this time.

Yoga props are tools we can use to support us in our practice. They can assist us in getting deeper into postures and can help us to feel more comfortable and relaxed. Some examples of props: blocks, a strap, bolsters, blankets, an eye pillow. 

I encourage the use of props, but they’re not always necessary. For private lessons in Orlando- I bring the necessary props to help you get the most out of your sessions.

With that being said, there are also great alternatives that you can find around your house that you can equally substitute. We can discuss this further if desired, before our first session.

No, you don’t have to wear yoga pants, just clothing that you find comfortable works perfectly. yay!

Clothes that you can freely move around in and bend in is best. Yoga is typically done without wearing shoes or socks. Barefoot is ideal as you’ll remain in poses more comfortably and safely. However, the feet get cold sometimes! In cooler weather, I’ll occasionally wear socks. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

You’ll learn new tools and techniques for your specific body that will help you evolve your personal practice.

Yoga is for everyone. I have experience in teaching yoga to people with a range of health conditions. I’m able to adapt the Yoga practice to meet your unique needs. If you have an injury or a disability I will work with you and with your doctor, if necessary, to develop an enjoyable Yoga practice that is suitable for you.

If I am unable to meet your needs, I’m happy to refer you to someone who can.

Yoga is for everyone. Practicing yoga is the perfect way to bring your body back into balance, including being at a weight that feels healthy and in a body that feels more mobile and flexible.

“Needing to be flexible to do yoga” is one of the most common misconceptions I’ve heard from those who have never tried yoga or are just beginning in yoga.  We don’t practice yoga because we are already flexible. We practice yoga to gain flexibility, and the more we practice, the more flexible our bodies feel.

Private sessions are the best way for a beginner to learn yoga. From our first session- you will receive tailored instruction that is personalized to focus on your body, goals, and needs. 

For group sessions or special events, please contact me with more details. 

Please kindly give 24 hours notice if you must cancel our scheduled session. Cancellations must be made in writing more than 24 hours in advance by email at hello@yogawithbrandy.com (no phone calls). If a private session is canceled less than 24 hours prior to the session, and for no-shows, the session will be charged in full.

Skype is a free online service that enables us to have a video call on your computer, laptop or tablet. It also allows the ability to record each session, so that you can continue to revisit and practice each session whenever you’d like. Prior to our first session, you’ll want to be sure that your account is set-up and that you have tested that it is working properly (video and audio).  Skype is very user-friendly and easy to set-up.  If you need assistance setting it up – I am happy to help!

All ages are welcome to participate.  I have experience teaching those between ages 5 -80+.

Those that are under 18 years of age must have a guardian book their session and be present during the entire session.

If you have an injury or find it difficult to be low to the ground, chair yoga could be a great option. Chair Yoga allows you to find mobility in a way that is gentle, supportive and just as beneficial without having to get on the ground. The session would be seated in a chair, and if accessible, using the support from the chair for standing postures.

To avoid causing yourself unnecessary stress, plan to be ready for your virtual session by signing-in (to Skype) 5-10 minutes before our scheduled start time so that you are ready and prepared for a great practice.

ONLINE LIVESTREAM GROUP CLASSES

Yes, registration is required. Please pre-register for classes at least 2 hours prior to the start time.

Online LIVESTREAM Group Classes are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted on the schedule.

To avoid causing yourself unnecessary stress, plan to be ready for your Online Class by signing-in (to your zoom account) 5-10 minutes before the scheduled class time so that you are ready and prepared for a great practice. 

Yoga props are tools we can use to support us in our practice. They can assist us in getting deeper into postures and also help us feel more comfortable and relaxed.

Some examples of yoga props: blocks, bolsters, a strap, blankets, an eye pillow. 
With that being said, there are also great alternatives that you can find around your house that you can equally substitute. 
GET CREATIVE!
No blocks?  Grab 2 thick books (think dictionary size), a small stack of hardcover books.
No Bolster? Grab a thick, dense pillow or two, or just 2-3 blankets and tightly roll them up.
No Blanket? Use a couple thick towels
No Strap?  Grab a scarf, long neck tie or belt.
No eye pillow? Grab a tube sock (preferably clean) and fill it with DRY rice, lentils or flax seeds. Then tie off the end with a rubberband. For an added relaxing bonus, rub a few drops of lavender essential oil on it.

Again, not necessary but they might make your practice feel extra enjoyable.

From our first session- you will receive tailored instruction that is personalized to focus on your body, goals, and needs. 

Please give 2 hours notice if you are unable to attend a class that you’ve registered for. Rescheduling and cancellations must be made at least 2 hours prior to the class through the website or clicking the “cancel or reschedule” link in your confirmation email. If you have misplaced your confirmation email, then email  hello@yogawithbrandy.com (no phone calls) with your request at least 2 hours prior to the start of class. If you do not show for class or if you canceled less than 2 hours prior to the start of class, the session will be charged in full.

Please choose with care, as all sales are final. All packages expire 6 months after activation. All sessions and packages are non-transferable, and cannot be shared, returned, nor exchanged.
